Mandola’s Italian Market

The next time you find yourself in Austin, Texas, make sure you stop by Mandola’s Italian Market. Texas’ weirdest city is known for its pedestrian friendly downtown area, parks, shops, art, and laid back attitude. The Italian Market is part deli, coffee shop, bakery, and gelato. But they are known for their casual dining. Everything is made fresh to order, with the best ingredients and made from scratch pasta. The best thing about the Italian Market is their full kitchen. If you don’t see what you like on the menu, don’t worry. They can make just about anything. I always order their Alfredo on penne with roasted chicken and grilled portabellas and zucchini. After you order, serve yourself a plate of olive oil for the bread basket. Their olive oil already comes seasoned. All that’s missing is a spoonful of parmesan cheese (or more). Enjoy the Italian Market with friends and before you spend the rest of your Sunday afternoon strolling down Congress Ave. Mandola’s Italian Market won’t set you back too much, the average price per dish is about $10.00. This place is one of my Texas favorites. I’ll see you there.
