Because of its Mediterranean climate, Thessaloniki has hot and dry summers with cool and rainy winters. The most popular time to visit are spring and autumn. There are great food and culture festivals throughout the year so there is sure to be something going on no matter the time of year. The best way to get into town is train or plane, although there is a local ferry that takes visitors to and from other nearby coastal destinations. Once in Thessaloniki, hit the pavement and see the sites by foot!
