Gay Tuscany

Tuscany is one of the most popular destinations for tourists, in one of the most popular tourism countries in the world! This is no surprise though, for Tuscany is rich with history that has left us with incredible Renaissance art- especially in the city of Florence. The beach in Viareggio is not to be missed, regardless of the season. No matter where you are in this picturesque region, eat and drink as much local food and wine as possible to get true gay Tuscan flavor.

One of the great things about Tuscany is that the climate is extremely mild. Summers are hotter in the coastal and valley regions, and the hilly regions get more rain. July is the hottest month of the year, and January is the coldest with rain sprinkled throughout the Spring and Fall months as well. Tourist season is all year round in Tuscany because every time of year has something beautiful to offer!

The best way to get around Tuscany is by rail. Most major cities have train stations that offer fast and frequent service to neighboring areas. You can also get to other Italian cities, so you can be sure to add this beautiful region to your vacation Italiano. Most international flights come to Milan or Rome, which would require a three hour drive to Tuscany from there. However, Florence and Pisa also have smaller airports so there is always the option to get connecting flights!

Tuscany is an extremely safe city for tourists. The biggest thing to worry about is pickpocketing and petty crime, so keep your bags zipped and close to your body while in busy public areas. Also, it is best to avoid these areas at night because people tend to loiter. Stick to the main tourist areas after dark and you’ll be good to go!
