A new study shows a changing world where gay acceptance is becoming the norm. The study states that acceptance of homosexuality has grown in 90 percent of countries surveyed over the last 20 years.

According to findings by social researchers at NORC at the University of Chicago and the LGBT think-tank Williams Institute at UCLA, acceptance rose an average of .9 percent annually by nation.

The study analyzed some interesting data and trends, for example: in Great Britain the percent of people saying that sexual relations between two adults of the same gender was “always wrong” fell from 64% in 1987 to 22% in 2012 and in the United States approval of gay marriage climbed from 11% in 1988 to 48% in 2012.

The sudy shows great examples of how they have meausred growing acceptance in specific countries over time.
