Gay Caguas

Located in the Central Mountain Range, Caguas is a city and municipality of Puerto Rico. It is both a principal city of the San Juan-Caguas-Fajardo Combined Statistical Area and the San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The city was founded in 1775 and was originally called San Sebastián del Piñal de Caguax and later shortened to Caguas. It was declared a valley in 1820 and became a city in 1894. Caguas is known as “La Ciudad Criolla" (The Creole City) and “El Valle del Turabo” (Turabo Valley), as well as the “Center and Heart” of Puerto Rico because of its location that connects the different regions of Puerto Rico.

The best time to visit Caguas is any time of the year. Caguas has a tropical rainforest climate where rainfall is limited and the temperature is warm. Throughout the year, the temperature ranges from 70°F to 88°F and is rarely below 68°F or above 90°F. The highest average temperature in Caguas is 29°C in June and the lowest is 27°C in January.
