Gay Mo'orea
Situated just off the coast of Tahiti, Mo'orea make for a great day trip from Papeete for anyone wishing to explore the more natural side of the islands. There are several ferries that leave from the capital city to Vaiare on Mo'orea daily. If you're not staying on Bora Bora, visiting Mo'orea makes for a really scenic day trip as many of the hiking trails will take you through tall mountain passes with gorgeous views.. There are twin bays on the north coast that are separated by Mount Rotul and provide a distinctive outline of the island that many people say resembles a heart.
There isn't really any nightlife on the island, as most of that is centered in Papeete anyway. Shops and stores tend to close up early too, as everyone is too busy relaxing and enjoying life to want to work too hard. If you're visiting Mo'orea, it's to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, gorgeous weather, and tropical lifestyle of French Polynesia, so you're probably going to be too tired to want to go clubbing later anyway.
