Gay Northampton
The San Francisco of Western Mass, Northampton is the most openly gay friendly town in the conservative Western Mass area. Home to the famous women's college Smith College, Northampton is a collective hodgepodge of life. If you aren't from the area the first thing you will notice is cars stop for ALL pedestrians. The next is the clean streets which make it easy for you to shop during the day at the local outdoor “mall.” Astreet lined with shops and restaurants as well as a mini-indoor mall called Thorne's Market.
