Gay Puerto Morelos

Puerto Morelos is a small fishing town located in Quinta Roo, in the Yucatán Peninsula. It's situated in the northeast of the state, about 36 km (22 mi) south of the Cancún, and about 30 km (19 mi) north of the famous Playa del Carmen. The city has a quaint and bohemian feel to it. Full of colorful buildings, a laid-back atmosphere, and an authentic "fishing town vibe."  The city is where you would catch a ferry ride to the island of Cozumel.

Puerto Morelos has a lush, vibrant jungle and famous Cenotes. This place is perfect for someone who wants a low-key vacation and enjoys its natural beauty.

Explore the jungle - There is a lot of greenery in Puerto Morelos. Here you can hike, explore, and even zip line through the jungle. You can go on many excursions—from water excursions through the mangroves to finding the cenotes in the wilderness. Come out and be part of nature.

Snorkel - Puerto Morelos has a famous "National Reef Park." Here you can dive underwater and get up close with the sea creatures. The waters here are crystal clear, so you can see and experience the ocean views and wildlife. 

Lounge on the beach - This can go without saying! Puerto Morelos has plenty of beaches to take advantage of. Feel free to spend the day lounging by the beach, on the beach, or sit by a restaurant and watch the beach. So enjoy it! The beach life will be all around you. 

Dive in a cenote - These sinkholes are full of crystal clear water that many people like swimming in. Try one while you're here; it would be so memorable! The waters are so clear that some say it's like floating in a different world.

Puerto Morelos is a fishing village, so you know that you will be in seafood heaven. With such proximity to the beach and local fishermen, there will be plenty of different fish that have been caught fresh. 

Ceviche - Speaking of fresh seafood, this is a trendy dish that can be found throughout Mexico, especially in the beach areas. Ceviche is a raw seafood cocktail that has been cooked with lime juice, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and other spices. It can be served as is with chips on the side or a tostada. It is incredibly refreshing and delicious for those hot days by the beach. 

Fish Tacos - What's more exciting than having a fish taco by the beach? Fish tacos can be served one of two ways, either fried or grilled. They will also be served with various salsas to top it off with. 

Fresh Tropical fruit - A refreshing snack that can be found on the beaches would be fresh fruit stands. Here they offer different types of fruit cut up in spears and served in a cup. Puerto Morelos is also known for being a laid-back and low-key town, so don't expect over-the-top wild nights. However, do expect lively social gatherings. You are guaranteed to have fun!
